Privacy policy
How VoxNote handles recordings, transcripts, anonymous usage counters and third-party services.
What we process
When you record audio, the audio stays in your browser until you choose to transcribe it. When you press Transcribe, the audio is sent to a Cloudflare Pages Function and then to Cloudflare Workers AI to produce a transcript. The audio is processed in memory for that request and is not written to object storage by VoxNote.
What we store
Transcripts and summaries are kept in your browser's local storage only if you choose to save a session. On the server, we store anonymous daily usage counters. The counter key is a salted SHA-256 hash derived from your IP address and user agent; the raw IP address is not stored in the database.
Third parties
Transcription and summarization are provided by Cloudflare Workers AI. If advertising or analytics is enabled on the live site, those providers may set cookies and process technical data as described in the cookie notice shown on the site. Payment links are hosted by the payment provider; their privacy policy applies during checkout.
Your choices
You can use the recorder and download the raw audio without sending anything to the AI service. You can delete saved sessions in your browser at any time. For data requests, contact the address in the footer.
Children and sensitive data
VoxNote is not intended for children. Do not upload recordings that you are not allowed to process, and do not use the service for medical, legal or confidential content without checking your legal and organizational requirements first.
